We’re releasing a new capability in Singulate called Singulate Research, an agent–powered data enrichment service that uses prompts to search the web, pull in data, and create 1:1 messages at scale.

Singulate Research changes the game. It’s like Clay but without complex data tables - it’s extremely simple and easy to use, and works like a charm:

  1. There’s no tables or spreadsheets. You’re writing messages and using modular prompting to scrape the web, and pull in any publicly available data to generate content.
  2. The data is generated at the moment of sending, so the data is at its freshest.
  3. It’s automated through HubSpot workflows.

What this means for marketers

Singulate Research is a huge step forward in personalization data in marketing nurtures. 

  • Marketers can personalize messages with up-to-date data that doesn’t exist in their CRM. The only limit is their imagination and what’s available on the open internet to be able to pull into Singulate with a prompt.

That is why data enrichment is critical in marketing ops. The data needs to be cleaned, updated, and verified in order for it to work, otherwise it stales and clutters your CRM.

Singulate Research solves this problem by deploying agents that crawl the web and create and enrich attributes at the contact level, right at the time of send.

7 examples of using Singulate Research for personalization at scale in outbound campaigns and marketing nurtures:

  1. Refer to examples of a contact's customers using the testimonials on their website.
  2. Summarize a contact’s blog post or case study and highlight what you liked about it.
  3. Write about a contact’s ICP and mention their JTBD.
  4. Mention names of the contact’s competitors, products, or people. 
  5. Make personalized recommendations based off interests, persona, or industry trends.

How Singulate Research works

Singulate Research cleans and populates fresh data right from within the editor. It saves an incredible amount of time and money by leap frogging data tables and getting straight into the personalized content. You don’t need to worry about integrations, waterfalls, and additional workflows or processes to keep your data up to date for your email marketing and automation. The data is researched at the time of send, so it’s at its freshest.

There are a couple ways to use Singulate Research: 1) to create new data fields, 2) to enrich existing data fields, and 3) to personalize content. Let’s break down each of these.

Create new data fields: 

  1. From within the editor, open List Insights.
  2. In Attributes, click the “Enrich” button.
  3. Click +Add new - this will open the Enrichment instructions.
  4. Type in any attribute in natural language. For example:
    1. “Name of top competitor”  
    2. “First name of the company’s CEO/CMO/COO”
    3. “Number of blog posts on website”
  5. Click Start enrichment
  6. Singulate will name the data point automatically 
  7. In a few moments, you’ll see previews of data coming in - so you can verify accuracy
  8. When it’s finished, you’ll see the final percentage of the contacts that have that data point populated

Once these are created, you can clean them up with Wow Tags and use them to create segmented messaging with Branched Content. 

For Snippets, Singulate Research is even more powerful:

Create hyper-personalized snippets:

  1. Place a Singulated Snippet into your campaign.
  2. Toggle on “Singulate research”
  3. Craft your prompt in “Writing instructions” but type “research _____” to instruct Singulate’s AI to research something on the web
  4. Select “Save and fine tune” to view unique outputs for each contact and go through the typical Snippets workflow to approve the model

While Singulate researches, you’ll be able to see what it’s thinking while processing the prompt. If you’re not happy with the result, you can refine the prompt by changing the writing instructions until you’re happy with the pattern of research and personalization for each person (we recommend an approval streak of 10).
