Create A/B Split Tests

Before You Begin:

Create a non-singulated version of the email you want to test in HubSpot as a marketing email, and create the singulated version of the email in Singulate.

Create Your A/B Test

To set up an A/B split test (always a good idea), you're going to start by creating a HubSpot workflow from scratch.

The trigger for your workflow will be: Data values > List membership changed > Is a member of a list > the name of the list you're sending to.

Once you save your trigger, click the "+" option to add a new step:

Click the Branch option in the menu that appears on your left:

...Then select Random distribution by percentage:

You're going to put 50% in both the Branch 1 and Branch 2 fields, then hit Save.

Now, under one of the branches you've created, you're going to create a Send email step, and select the non-personalized email you've created in HubSpot.

Under the other branch, you'll create a Singulate Generate step and select the email you've created in Singulate.

This is how you'll A/B test your non-personalized email against a hyper-personalized Singulate email.

Once you turn the workflow on, your emails will send, and you can analyze the results in your workflow performance dashboard.
